i. After upload

What happens next.

Upload, pay, and we do the rest. The finished file comes back to your dashboard once processing is done.

  1. Upload your file

    Drop your video. We price it by length, $0.35 per minute for the whole file, and this creates your order.

  2. Pay for your order

    Pay up front for the whole file. That confirms your order and sends it straight into the processing queue. Changed your mind? While your file is still waiting in the queue, email support@savevhs.com to cancel for a full refund.

  3. We process your video

    Your file is enhanced end to end on our own GPUs, with Advanced deinterlacing on interlaced sources included. Processing time depends heavily on the length of your file and our current load: anywhere from a few hours to a few days. We’ll let you know when it’s ready.

  4. Download your 1080p output

    Standalone uploads (this page) get a 30-day MP4 download window from order completion. No cloud subscription, no disc. Pull a local copy before the window closes. If you instead have a Digitization order with us and add AI to it from your dashboard, the enhanced version joins that order: in your cloud, or on a BluRay disc if you chose discs (DVD doesn’t fit FullHD).

Before you upload.

A handful of things worth knowing.

  1. Privacy

    Your file is processed on our own GPU infrastructure. We don’t send it to third-party AI services. Full details in our privacy policy.

  2. Source quality matters

    AI works best on clean source. A well-shot home video with reasonable lighting upscales noticeably; a heavily-degraded analog capture has less to work with. See our notes on realistic expectations.

  3. Already a customer?

    If your tapes are in your dashboard from a Basic or Advanced order that isn’t completed yet, you don’t need to upload anything. Add AI Enhancement to them directly from your dashboard at $0.30 per minute on Advanced captures, or $0.35 per minute on Basic captures (including the Advanced re-scan). Once the order is completed, AI can no longer be added to it: download your files from the dashboard and upload them here, or email support@savevhs.com and we’ll help.
